Description
- This is the most beautiful and exciting closing hole of the South Course.
- The dogleg left over water allows players with different ability and risk appetite to choose how much corner to cut.
- Very long hitters can gamble and aim right at the green.
- A successful gamble would be rewarded with a short approach to the green for easy par or possible birdie. Unsuccessful attempts will, however, be quite costly.
- Safer tee shots to the left, if too, short, will have much longer approaches to the green while if too long shot may end up in the rough on the right side mounds with difficult lies.
- The small green is protected by sand bunkers on the left and front right. Pin position at the upper right corner is most challenging.
- It is best to miss the green by being short rather than long as an approach shot hit over the green will face a very difficult chip back.
- The hole can be rated as one of the best par 4 in Chiang Mai.
